This traditional Caribbean set has its origin in Spain and dates back to the battles between the Moors and the Christians in the Iberian Peninsula, but today it is best known for being a staple in Caribbean cuisine. - 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 green pepper
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 teaspoons cumin
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper

Soak the beans the previous night. Put a casserole on the fire with the beans and the same water used for soaking. Cook for 50 minutes or until tender. Remove and reserve.

Peel and chop the onion, garlic, pepper and tomato. Put a casserole on the fire with a little olive oil and add the onion, garlic and pepper. Saute 3 minutes and add the tomato and cumin. Keep a couple of minutes.

Put the beans back to the fire Add the stir-fried onion, garlic, pepper and tomato. Stir with a wooden spoon. Then add the previously washed rice. Salpimentar and cover the casserole. Simmer 20 minutes.
